Parkinson's support group holds indoor barbecue

 Jun 17, 2019

CAMDEN — A Parkinson’s support group that meets at Quarry Hill in Camden invites all those living with Parkinson’s, as well as their family members and caregivers, to attend its 15th annual indoor barbecue, Tuesday, July 2, from noon to 2 p.m. at Quarry Hill’s main building, the Anderson Inn, 30 Community Drive, Camden.
For $5 per person, payable at the door, Quarry Hill will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and use of an outdoor gas grill. Attendees are asked to bring a favorite picnic salad or side, beverage or dessert as a contribution to the potluck spread. Registration is required for this special event, no later than Thursday, June 27.
The Camden-based support group meets regularly at Quarry Hill on the first Tuesday of each month during the noon-to-2:00 time slot. Most meetings include an educational presentation followed by small-group discussions and are open, free of charge, to those living with Parkinson’s, their families and caregivers. Attendees are welcome to bring bag lunches; Quarry Hill provides beverages and desserts.
To register, or for more information about the July get-together, or about the Parkinson’s Support Group in general, contact Cassie Walters at 596-3978 or email at ckwalters66@gmail.com.
