Author to share Parkinson's experience

May 17, 2016
A local Parkinson’s support group is welcoming a Calgary author to share her experience living with the disease.
Jocelyn Burgener will detail her journey with Parkinson’s during a speaking engagement May 25 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Columba Church, 7 Columba Dr. in St. Catharines.
She will speak about her book, Naked Under My Coat: Writing Under the Influence of Parkinson’s, a collection of short stories and poems written during her diagnosis in 2003.
The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer period and a book signing.
There is no cost to attend and registration is not required.
The Niagara support group of Parkinson Canada, for both people diagnosed with the illness and their caregivers, meets at the church the fourth Wednesday of every month.
All are welcome to attend.
