“Live It Up!” is a free day of fun in support of people impacted by Parkinson’s disease in Yavapai County and throughout Arizona. Hosted by Granite Gate Senior Living and the Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance, the event takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Granite Gate, 3850 N. Highway 89 in Prescott. Among the programs planned are:
• Doctor Dave Tells All – Dr. David Shprecher, neurologist and director of the Movement Disorders Program at Banner Sun Health Research Institute, oversees patient care and clinical research studies. His talks are always informative, helpful and optimistic.
• Chopped at Granite Gate – Watch professional chefs compete as they turn a basket of mystery ingredients into an extraordinary main course.
• Free Spuds for Lunch – The Granite Gate dining staff is proud to serve the best baked potatoes with a plethora of topping choices, side dishes, desserts and soft drinks. Donations always appreciated.
