Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur wins €45k investment for app to help people with Parkinson's disease

A 26-YEAR-OLD physiotherapist who developed an app to support people with Parkinson’s disease has been named Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur.
Ciara Clancy, of Beats Medical, won a €45,000 investment after clinching the top prize at the competition run by the Local Enterprise Offices.
The app provides individually tailored physiotherapy, speech and language, and occupational therapy exercises through mobile phones in 40 countries.
Ms Clancy is also developing digital treatments for other conditions.
