IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) - The Parkinson's Society of Dickinson County Area will be hosting its second annual symposium on Parkinson's disease Friday.
The event is for Parkinson's disease patients, their caregivers and family and friends. It will take place in Iron Mountain at Bay College West.
Health services and vendors will be on hand to provide information and materials.
Organizers say people can expect a very informative and interactive program this year with energetic coach and keynote speaker David Zid, of OhioHealth in Columbus, Ohio.
"It will be fun and motivating, and it will give them things that they can do at home to continue their exercises to help Parkinson's disease patients move better," facilitator for the Parkinson's Society of Dickinson County Area Pauline Hill said.
The guest speaker will also be holding a training clinic at UP Rehab Services in Kingsford on Thursday at 12 p.m.
