Pop singer-songwriter John Nicholas is putting a unique spin on his tour of south Wales – in a bid to fundraise for Parkinson’s UK.
John, 27, will be running between each venue of his tour in support of his mum, who has Parkinson’s.
John’s ‘Runaway Tour’ begins on September 25 in Haverfordwest, before he sets off for Carmarthen, Swansea, Bridgend – finishing up in Cardiff on September 30.
The longest distance John will be taking on between venues is 26 miles.
The Bridgend artist takes inspiration from musicians such as Foy Vance and John Mayer, and has played all over the UK, as well as in North America and South America.
John said: “My mum was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003. She was young to be diagnosed and it’s had a huge impact on her and our family. I want to do all that I can to raise money for Parkinson’s UK, to help my mum and others to manage the condition on a day-to-day basis, but ultimately to help the charity find a cure.”
