6600 River Club Blvd., Bradenton
Jan. 4, 2018
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
No Charge (everyone buys their own lunch)

On Jan. 4 our morning featured speaker at the First Thursday NeuroChallenge Parkinson Cafe @ the River Club Caddyshak will be Shauna Francis, Coordinator, Business Development, Blake Medical Center.

The beginning of the year is always a time to reflect and look back on all the things we have accomplished in the past year. But it is also a time to acknowledge the items left undone. For most people, living a healthy life is an ongoing process. Beginning this year we should first step back and take stock of what it is that we really want, what we consider the good life to be, and then think about how best we might achieve it.
Shauna will also facilitate an interactive Tai Chi session.

Shauna has been a part of the community education team at Blake Medical Center for the past three years. She truly enjoys sharing health-related presentations with members of our community. Shauna is also a certified Tai Chi instructor in Dr. Paul Lam's Tai Chi for Health program. Along with promoting Blake Medical Center and its H2U program through community outreach, she also supervises Blake Medical's Ellenton H2U facility.

In the afternoon Catherine Liott will facilitate a healing art workshop. Each person will create a collage God box to release their worries.

Life’s twists and turns always brought Cathy back to expressing and healing herself through the arts. She considers creativity a birthright and after receiving a Certificate in Expressive Arts Facilitating at Expressive Arts Florida Institute, and a BA and MS in Art and Education, she enjoys facilitating “Playshops” designed to create a safe container for those attending to witness one another and trust the process of creating for the sake of creating!
