This month alone, 5000 Americans will hear the words, "You have Parkinson's Disease." The words can feel like a death sentence. It is not. Treatments, resources, and support are available to those diagnosed with Parkinson's, and the friends and family who love and care for them. The Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance (PMDAlliance) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the everyday lives of people impacted by Parkinson's through education and support.
On April 27th, the PMDAlliance is presenting their signature Learn. Live. Connect. Parkinson's Conference at the Embassy Suites Logan Airport, 207 Porter Street, Boston, MA. Presentations from nationally recognized neurologists and movement disorder specialists David Shprecher, DO, and Laxman Bahroo, DO will cover motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's, and treatments that address them. The program is free and will run from 9:00 AM-noon and include an exercise component, plus a question and answer session with the doctors.
The Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance provides opportunities to learn, live life more fully and connect with community. This nonprofit organization supports people impacted by Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders, as well as those who care about them, by offering a variety of in-person and online programs. These programs focus on educating, enriching and enhancing daily life, and encouraging social and support connections.
