PARKINSON’S disease symptoms include slow movement, tremors and muscle stiffness. You could lower your risk of the neurodegenerative brain condition’s signs by avoiding this drink in your diet. Do you have this beverage every morning?
Parkinson's disease diet: Prevent the brain condition's symptoms and signs by avoiding tea
Parkinson’s disease affects about 127,000 people in the UK, according to the NHS.
It’s caused by parts of the brain becoming increasingly damaged over a number of years.
But making some small dietary changes could help to prevent Parkinson’s disease symptoms.
Drinking tea could be making some of your Parkinson’s symptoms worse, it’s been claimed.

Tea and other hot liquids may be increasing the risk of some Parkinson’s signs, warned charity The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
They could be instigating dehydration and low blood pressure, which is a symptom of Parkinson’s.
Low blood pressure, or hypotension, could also be a side-effect of some Parkinson’s medications, it added.
“No singular diet can treat Parkinson's disease or its symptoms, but a healthy and balanced diet can improve general well-being,” said the charity.
“Eating fruits and vegetables may help keep you energised and hydrated.
“Raising fluid and salt intake will boost blood pressure, but talk with your physician, especially if you have heart or kidney problems. Increase cold fluids to five eight-ounce glasses per half day.
“Limit caffeinated beverages, hot liquids and alcohol as these encourage dehydration and low blood pressure.
“Eating frequent, small meals can also smooth blood pressure fluctuations.”
But, earlier this month, it was revealed that drinking coffee could lower your risk of the neurodegenerative condition.
Coffee contains compounds that stop specific proteins from forming that have been linked to Parkinson’s.
Dark-roasted coffee beans provided the best protection against the condition, scientists revealed.
