Detroit music icons Alice Cooper and Jack White will team up with Detroit Tigers all-star and broadcaster Kirk Gibson for a special Devil's Night fundraiser for Gibson's foundation.
The event takes place Oct. 30 in the Birdy Room at the Shinola Hotel. Cooper, White and Gibson will tell stories in a conversation moderated by WDET air personality Ann Delisi, and White will play a short solo acoustic performance. Proceeds from the $350 tickets will go to the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson's to combat Parkinson's disease, as will money raised by a silent auction that includes the opportunity to play ping-pong against Cooper or Gibson, a limited edition Third Man Records turntable signed by White and a cooking class and dinner with Andrew Carmellini, chef at the hotel's San Morello restaurant.
Cooper will be in town to do some more recording with producer Bob Ezrin for a Detroit-inspired album he's working on for release in 2020. He recently released an EP called "Breadcrumbs" that includes covers of songs by Bob Seger, the MC5, Mitch Ryder and Suzi Quatro.
Tickets for the event can be purchased via https://bit.ly/2okEHPK. Guests are encouraged to come in costume.
