Loss of smell is an early warning sign of Parkinson’s disease. McCann Health New York took advantage of National Coffee Day on Sunday to shine a light on this symptom in the Sniffing out Parkinson’s Disease with Parkinscents campaign.
The agency teamed up with coffee shops across the country to display coffee sleeves, lids, posters, tent cards and coasters that emphasized the importance of early Parkinson’s diagnosis.
Working with client the Parkinson’s Research and Education Foundation, the firm created an interactive website that provides more information about early signs of the disease. The goal is getting more people to meet with a healthcare professional earlier rather than later for diagnosis and treatment.
