Contestants in Bournemouth's Business Come Dancing 2016

PAVILION Dance South West and Lewis-Manning Hospice officially launched their 2016 Business Come Dancing Christmas gala at Pavilion Dance.
Business Come Dancing is jointly organised by the two charities to raise funds for their work in providing help and support for people with Parkinson’s and other life-limiting conditions.
Now in its fourth year, the event brings together individuals from local businesses, who like in Strictly are partnered with professional dance teachers to train over a two-month period. They then take part in the dancing competition and gala on December 16 at the Pavilion Theatre Ballroom.
This year’s business line-up includes LV=, Ageas, Barclays, Dancing Daisies and Copyrite. The contestants were introduced to their professional partners with Latin, Street, 1940s Social Dance, Contemporary, African Dance and Musical Theatre being among this year’s competition dance styles. The two charities also welcomed local business The Zip Yard as a Business Come Dancing Silver Sponsor.
Helga Brandt, Head of Marketing and Development at Pavilion Dance South West, said: "We are thrilled to welcome such fantastic businesses to this year’s event, and are particularly pleased to welcome sponsors at this stage of the process.
"Dance provides such an important lifeline for people with Parkinson’s – what better way to raise funds for two charities that provide care and support for people with the condition? We are also looking forward to what will be a fantastic Christmas party for everyone attending."
All 11 contestants will be raising money for the charities over the next two months and will be training to be on the winners’ podium at the Pavilion Theatre Ballroom. For the first time, tickets are also on public sale, to enable anyone who loves the Strictly buzz to experience it right here in Bournemouth.
Tickets to the event include welcome drinks, black tie gala dinner, dance competition and disco and are £45, or £40 if booking a table of 10.
To book, contact the Pavilion Dance South West Box Office on 01202 203630 or go to pdsw.org.uk.
