SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - At the Canaries' Birdcage Saturday, walkers were stepping for Parkinson's.
The annual walk benefiting the South Dakota Parkinson's Foundation raised support for their many programs and services offered around the state.
"It's really important it's actually our only fundraiser that we do throughout the year, and its nice because we are a South Dakota Foundation. So all the funds that we raise from today they stay local to support programs and services from South Dakota."
Parkinson's Disease affects roughly 3,000 people in South Dakota, and Saturday's event also worked to raise awareness and bring families affected by Parkinson's Disease together.
