Parkinson's doesn't take away talent. See for yourself at Saturday's Sing Out in Richardson

Parkinson's disease takes away an awful lot; in a nutshell, the ability to move, which includes the ability to speak. Which is where the Parkinson Voice Project comes in. Using intensive speech therapy and follow-up support, the nonprofit works to help those with the disease preserve and restore their voices.
How well does it work? Hear for yourself on Saturday, when the organization presents its annual Sing Out! performance featuring 100 people with Parkinson's. This year, they'll be performing Broadway hits...and who can resist that?!

KERA (90.1 FM)'s Krys Boyd, whose father Tom Boyd has Parkinson's, will be the emcee for the event. It takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at Richardson High School, 1250 W. Belt Line Road in, yes, Richardson. Take a peek at last year's video to get an idea of what you're in store for.

You must register to attend:https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sing-out-tickets-25584737639
