About Dean Sutherland, M.D., Ph.D.:
Dr. Sutherland is board-certified in Adult Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Sutherland earned a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Neuroscience. During this training, Dr. Sutherland received several prestigious awards for teaching from faculty and from peers at FSU and at UF. Today, he is an Assistant Professor and the Clerkship Director for the Clinical Neurology at The FSU College of Medicine in Sarasota. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Sutherland entered medical school at the University of Florida, where he completed both internship and residency in Neurology.
